STRATEGIC PLANNING –  ONE DAY COURSE

Senior Airport and Airline Managers directly responsible for disabled aircraft recovery will gain an understanding of the process of developing, implementing and testing their Disabled Aircraft Recovery Plan.

OPERATIONAL PLANNING
THREE DAY COURSE

Managers will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods underlying Aircraft Recovery, including; types of incidents, development and implementation of the Recovery Plan, Managing the Recovery Team, and compliance with ICAO and other requirements.  Case Studies combined with Table Top Exercises provide detailed knowledge of real-world scenarios.

PRACTICAL TRAINING –  3 to 5  DAY COURSE

Hands-on training for Team Members who will be directly involved in the Aircraft Recovery process.  Commercial Aircraft and AMS Recovery Equipment are used at the AMS Training Facility in the UK, or at your facility.  Participants will engage in extensive practical exercises replicating common incident scenarios.

Brian is a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with extensive experience in airline operations, AOG recovery, accident recovery, and emergency planning. With a proven and flexible management style, he has the ability to analyze complex situations and manage conflicting priorities within tight time scales. He was an airline representative to the IATP recovery pool and IATA Recovery Task force for several years and has extensive knowledge of worldwide recovery capabilities.

Gavin served as Chief Fire Officer for West Sussex after 30 years in local authority fire and rescue services. As Chair of the National Fire Chiefs Council aviation committee, he ensured close communication between local Fire and Rescue Services and colleagues across the aviation sector. Gavin is a qualified aviation firefighter with experience in high-profile operational incidents, including the Shoreham Airshow Crash. He holds coaching and leadership accreditations, and Health & Safety and audit qualifications.

AMS Training Facility

Our aircraft recovery training centre at the Cotswolds Airport is an excellent facility for aviation professionals to learn and practice safe and efficient methods for recovering disabled or stranded aircraft. Located in the picturesque Cotswolds region of England, the centre offers state-of-the-art equipment and a range of simulated scenarios to prepare students for real-world situations. The training centre is staffed by experienced instructors who provide hands-on instruction and guidance on the proper use of specialized equipment such as cranes, winches, and lifting bags. The facility also offers classroom instruction on topics such as risk assessment, incident management, and health and safety.
